According to the Jersey Journal, In limbo Wu-Tang Clan member, U-God has been living in fear that that associates of the group are out to kill him. He is so scared that back in June he contacted Jersey City, New Jersey Police for protection.

On Wednesday, Iranian members of parliament voted to discuss a draft bill that seeks to “toughen punishment for disturbing mental security in society.” The text of the bill would add, “establishing websites and weblogs promoting corruption, prostitution and apostasy,” to the list of crimes punishable by death.

In recent years, some Iranian bloggers have been sent to jail and many have had their sites filtered. If the Iranian parliament approves this draft bill, bloggers fear they could be legally executed as criminals. No one has defined what it means to “disturb mental security in society”.

Such discussion concerning blogs has not been unique to Iran. It shows that many authorities do not only wish to filter blogs, but also to eliminate bloggers!

POSEN, Ill. — A suburban Chicago man admitted he locked his two little girls in a wire cage hidden in the back of his pickup truck, police said.

Ricardo Gonzalez of Midlothian was arrested Monday after a woman at a gas station in Posen heard a crying child and spotted him pushing small hands back into a cage, police said.

"She didn't think this was right and notified police right away," Posen Deputy Police Chief Vickie Paggi told the Chicago Tribune.

Gonzalez was taken into custody before leaving the gas station.

Gonzalez admitted to locking his girls, ages 2 and 5, in a cage to control them so they wouldn't run away, police said. He had erected a wire cage behind the driver and passenger seats of his Chevrolet S10 truck, police said. Black-tinted windows and a large plywood board in the truck's window back window concealed the cage.

Gonzalez told police he used the cage because he didn't have a baby sitter. Police said the girls did not live in the cage around-the-clock.

The 35-year-old faces charges of misdemeanor child endangerment. Cook County prosecutors were exploring Thursday whether the charge could be upgraded to a felony.

NEW YORK - Remy Ma’s wedding plans are up in the air. But a judge has made definite plans for the Grammy-nominated rapper: eight years in prison for shooting a woman outside a Manhattan nightclub.

The state Supreme Court sentence was handed Tuesday to the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion.

The defendant, who could have faced up to 25 years in prison, was teary-eyed as she heard the sentence. She says the shooting last summer was an accident; an appeal is planned.

After the sentencing, a man identified by court officers as Remy Ma’s fiance, fellow rapper Papoose, began screaming in a hallway outside the courtroom. “All you want is money!” he said, apparently referring to the victim.

“I Love Money,” the newest series from VH1’s “Celebreality” block will premiere on Sunday, July 13 at 9 p.m. The series will featuring the most outlandish contestants from the “Rock of Love,” “I Love New York” and “Flavor of Love,” series.

The 12-episode series will pit 17 all-star contestants against one another in a battle for a chance to win a $250,000 grand prize. Similar to MTV’s Real World/ Road Rules challenges, the series hosted by Craig J. Jackson, will be shot in Mexico and participants will compete in challenges to test their determination to win the loot. The three cops who killed Sean Bell on his wedding day in a 50-bullet barrage were cleared of all charges Friday - sparking tears inside the courtroom and anger on the streets outside. “The defendants are not guilty of all charges,” Queens Supreme Court Justice Arthur Cooperman declared. “The burden was on the people to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Each defendant was assumed to be innocent.” Cooperman said justification was used as a defense, he had to consider the “mindset of the defendants, not the victims. What the victims did, was more important to resolve the issues at hand than what was in their minds.”

Oliver, who fired 31 times and reloaded once, and Isnora, who fired 11 times, had been charged with manslaughter, felony assault and reckless endangerment. They faced up to 25 years in prison if convicted on all charges. Cooper, who fired four times, faced up to a year in jail if convicted of reckless endangerment. None of the detectives testified, although their grand jury testimony was read out loud at the trial. Sean Bell’s father, William, said he would call on the feds to try the cops for violating his son’s civil rights if they were acquitted.

Snipes was the highest-profile criminal tax target in years, and prosecutors called for a heavy sentence to deter others from trying to obstruct the IRS. The government alleged Snipes made at least $13.8 million for the years in question and owed $2.7 million in back taxes.

So it should come as no surprise that he exaggerated about his criminal record to up his street cred. Remember when he first came out, he said he spent 4 1/2 years in prison for running a car theft ring? Never happened. According to The Smoking Gun, despite having been arrested six times, the only conviction Akon has on record is a 1998 gun possession charge, for which he got three years probation. He was also arrested in metro Atlanta for possession of a stolen BMW and spent several months in a DeKalb County jail before all charges were dropped. But that's it.
